Losing Anti-freeze Sign In

I have a 1998 Saturn S W2 that is leaking anti-freeze. I can't see where its leaking because of a cover and think it might be splashing off a belt. It loses about half a gallon on a fifty mile trip but I don't see any major puddles underneath. The car is still running strong and the heat works fine. I live in New England and the cost of anti-freeze is exceeding my budget. Is there any specific place I should start for this model. Its cold and snowing a lot so any help would be appreciated.

Re: Losing Anti-freeze Sign In

If you can't find it get help to find it via pressure test or take things apart to see source. Possible water pump as they are one of the many things and can leak only when running?

Cost of antifreeze is nothing compared to cost of your engine but the point is to find and fix it. Do use 50/50 of the concentrate sport make your own up isn't that expensive and not suggested to use straight concentrate. Yes they sell pre mixed and you do pay for the convenience of it coming ready to use,
