Leather seats ruined? Sign In

I left my windows down while I was at work one day, of course, it rained all over my car seats. After the seats dried, they turned extremely tough and grainy. I've tried a leather conditioner and it didn't do anything.
I took it to a garage and they said they had never seen that much damage just from rain. They are supposed to be trying to find two new front seats for me, but haven't had any luck yet.
Please, leave any suggestions you have as to what I can use to try to repair my seats or where I can buy black leather seats for a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EX (probably used seats, they're more affordable).

Thank you!

That's a first for the graininess to me. I'm in salvage yards all the time in cars without doors or windows and they are tougher but haven't noticed the grainy on any yet?? It may correct some over lots of time. I have leather gloves (no leather in cars) that get still and plain wearing them after they have been soaked they come back?

If really trouble check if insurance can help and price out used exact seats that are good and inspect them yourself. Upholstery redo for leather or fabric for that matter is nasty expensive - ask around and perhaps ask an auto upholstery shop if something can be done for the ones you have now??
