Sign In Hello i have a Ford 97 Mercury Tracer, I was just recently offered two different sets of snow tires. However the numbers dont match up. The current tire sizes on the car are 185/65R14. The first set of tires are Blizzaks and they are 205/70R14, and the others are just regular studded tires that are 185/60R14. Would i be able to use either of these sets or do i need to buy a new set with the exact same sizes? thank you. Sign In Yes, you should have the exact same size for things to work correctly. Snows on the front if really needed can alter steering adversely on dry roads too especially with FWD cars. Not sure how much you need these vs all season tires but if just now and then check out tire chains and gadgets not that only take a minute to put on.
