High idle on Infiniti i30 2001

Hi,
I have an Infiniti I30 2001 model which was working pretty great until a few days ago. The car started to have a high idle and when it is set to park, there is a clicking/whirring sound that wasn't there before. When I set it to Drive, it sometimes pulls away sharply and it kinda strains against the brakes during this time. It doesn't always pull away sharply but it happens at intervals.
Today, my AC also failed and my battery light on my dashboard also lighted up. I don't know if the issues are linked. I'm pretty sure the AC kicks on when I turn it on, but it no longer gives cool air.
Is there something specific that is failing ?

What is the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running? Are there any trouble codes being stored in the engine computer?
