Help with 93 S-10 Fuel system Sign In

I have a 1993 Chevy S-10. I can drive it for a few miles and it will run ok, but if I stop at a stop light it will cut off and not want to crank back up. I acts like it is not getting fuel. I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump. I have pressure to the throttle body when it is setting in the driveway idling. When it stops on the road I can pour some gas in the throttle body and it will crank up. I took off the fuel pressure regulator off it it didn't look like anything was cracked or worn. I am baffaled. Can some help Please?

If you have a 4.3 liter engine and you have been using a lot of fuel since this started happening you more than likely need to replace the fuel injector. This has been a very common problem with these engines because of the design. You can put a fuel pressure guage on the port. turn key on but don't start the engine. You should have about 62 psi. Turn the key off. If the pressure guage drops down steadily, the poppet valves are hanging open. Replace injector.
Another tell tale sign is if you notice black smoke out of the tailpipe when driving, possibly accompanied by a sulfur smell.

I have the 2.5 in mine, but the problem sounds like what may be happening. When it is idling in the driveway the injector is firing fine. Maybe it is loosing pressure when it gets heated up. Thanks for your help Steve

it could be you not getting injector signal from the ECM do a injector pulse test with noid light if flashes when starting then ecm should be good if not flashing then it could be the ECM.
