You probably blew the fuse. Check them.

okay, also. my friend thinks that someone wired the stereo into the fan wiring. if that's the problem, will i have to pay a lot to get this fixed at a local mechanic?

You should take it to your local mechanic before you purchase it and have them check over the car for you. Just so you don't run into any expensive surprises. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

If somebody hacked up the wiring trying to install their own stereo, they could have created a real nightmare. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Yup - Have that car checked out pre-purchase if not too late. Hacked up wiring and who knows what else for tunes could be a never ending nightmare, T

If this was owned by someone dumb enough to hack up the heater fan harness to put in a stereo, treat this car like a girl with VD. You will get burned if you get into it. Walk away and find a car owned by someone with some common sense.

So my bad. Stereo and all other electricity are good. However the fan shuts down. And if i bang on the fan motor via the passenger lower dash the fan comes back on

Looks like you have a bad blower motor. You should still have the vehicle checked out by a shop before you buy it. The small amount to pay to have it inspected by someone that deals with vehicles on a daily basis is worth it in my opinion. If there is work that is needed, you can use the amount of money that is needed to fix it to adjust the asking price if you're really interested in buying the vehicle. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
