Hard Sarting when engine warm	Sign In

I have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe (5.7 Liter vortec)with 188K miles. I starts fine first thing in the morning but once the engine is warm I have to give it some gas and occasionally it kinda loads up on fuel and then ignites, sometimes with smoke in the engine area. I recently tuned it up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter. I also cleaned the intake area around the choke which wasn't too bad. I now have a tank full of injector cleaner to see if that may help, although I've done this before. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks

Your car doesn't have a choke, it's fuel injected.

Is the check engine light coming on at all?

No check engine lite is on.

Then you're going to need someone knowledgeable to analyze the the sensor data with a scan tool and look for something out of place.
