Gas Smell in front while running

2004 Chrysler Concord LXI 3.5 120,000 miles. There's a strong smell of gas only while it's running. It will occasionally cut out when I accelerate. The engine light will come on and stay on for weeks sometimes.

If you're smell fuel, you should probably get that checked out......Take a look under the hood at the injectors & fuel lines. I've had a few of those where the supply line had a pinhole in it near the back. See if you can find the leak. If not have a shop check it out
You can have a parts store pull the codes, on this one if you turn the key from off to on 3 times it will display the codes in the odometer.....You have to time it right and not crank it.....
