My GMC has a problem. It does not start very often. One day it ignites no problem, the next day it does not. I can see that accumulator is working, lights are on, radio is working, but the engine does not start. I have to turn the key over and over again, and usually after a while (15 min to 2 hours) it starts. I brought it to a mechanic in my city but he could not fix it, he said he cannot track the problem, because whenever he tried to run the car, it worked no problem and engine started right away. But when I brought it back home, the same problem started the next day again. Today I already cannot start the car for 3 hours.

What do you mean by "ignite"? Does the starter motor crank the engine? Does the starter motor crank the engine, but the engine doesn't start?

To find out what is causing this, the problem has to be occurring. 3 hours is more than enough for a good tech to figure out the problem.

The starter does not even crank the engine.

Probably would be a good idea to start off by having the battery tested and making sure your battery connections are clean and tight.

If those things are good, when the problem is occurring, locate the starter relay in the fuse panel under the hood. Put your finger on top of the relay and have someone attempt to crank the engine. If the relay clicks every time the key is turned to the start position, your going to have to make sure you have power at the starter motor's solenoid small wire.
