It starts fine but I can't shift it out of park. The shifter is NOT on the steering wheel column; it's on the floor. The button on the side will not push in. Many times if brake lights don't work it won't shift out of park. Check that a fuse for brake lights then switch if so. Some of the console shift cars have a slot to release that just takes the key or any key I think to override the lock temporarily. He popped open a "thingamajiggy" inserted a nail and showed us how to press down on the spring which allowed us to shift. We are taking the car in tomorrow and he's going to remove it for us.
