New guy to the forum,

I have a '94 Merc Sable with ABS and 4 wheel disk brakes. My problem is the left rear seems to keep some pressure on the piston when the brakes are released. I have just replaced the pads on the LR again and after driving it several miles the rim is very hot (much hotter than the right rear). I have replaced the caliper thinking that was the problem, it wasnt. Dont believe it is keeping full brake pressure on the LR because on level ground the car begins to move as soon as I release the brake pedal but it sure gets HOT.

I dont have much experience with ABS, not sure if this has anything to do with my problem or if I overlooked somthing simple. Thanks

Back to basics. Lift the wheel and it should coast with a spin by hand. If not and with a hot wheel it probable won't. Try just realeasing some brake fluid out while it's sticky and if it frees up it's probably the flex hose. T

Tom

Checked it out and wheel would not turn right after the brake pedal was released. Replaced the rubber line this morning and it works great. No more hot LR wheel !!!!

I was trying to overthink that one Blush

Thanks Alot
