Re: FUEL FILTER Sign In

Not 100% sure but famous to be on frame rail hidden a bit by a shield that you remove first.

Filter like this......

Brand not import for the pic just that those use one time clips on the new one so don't mess those up,

Re: FUEL FILTER Sign In

Service information states the fuel filter is lifetime. If that is true, it is located inside the fuel pump assembly and isn't serviceable unless you replace the entire pump assembly. I looked up in repairlink and it doesn't show an external fuel filter in any of their diagrams.

This filter may be a lifetime fuel filter located in the fuel pump assembly or an external 3-port inline filter that allows clean fuel to return to the fuel tank.

The fuel system consists of the following components:

- Fuel tank:
- The midship fuel tank is between the frame side rails on the LH side
- The aft-of-axle fuel tank is mounted at the rear of the vehicle between the frame rails

- Fuel tank filler pipe which contains a restrictor plate to permit only unleaded fuel to be pumped into the fuel tank
- Quarter-turn fuel tank filler cap
- Fuel tubes
- Vapor tubes
- Fuel Pump (FP) and sender assembly which provides filtered, pressurized fuel to the engine and a signal to indicate fuel level to the instrument cluster, and contains:
- a serviceable fuel sender.
- an inlet filter.
- a check valve that maintains system pressure after the FP is shut off.
- a lifetime fuel filter.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
