Equinox no heat Sign In

Hi guys this is the carry over from the no brake post. 2007 Chevy equinox V6 AWD. Neighbor lady had the thermostat replace by a friend. Ever since she's had no heat. My research finds it's very common on the 3.4l to get trapped air in the cooling system and very difficult to burp the system. So here is what I do know. Cooling fans run, no overheating, all vent positions switch as normal, reservoir is full and circulating, coolant good to -29deg, if I hold a steady rpm of 2500 -3000 I get mediocre heat at best, in an instant as soon as you let off throttle it's ice cold(blower speed don't matter). Ran the engine yesterday (idling)while bleeding the brakes with blower speed on low, when I was done just for grins and giggles I turned the blower on high and had HOT air for about a 3 second count then ice cold again. Is it just trapped air? What say you? Thanks
.

Using a vacuum fill is the best way to get the air out. You can very easily blow a head gasket on that engine running it that way.
