I have a 2000 nissan exterra with over 130,000 miles on it. When i start up my vehicle from a cold start the engine vibrates just enough so that I know that something isn't right. It only last for about 30 seconds and then the vibrating stops. This just started up the other day. Also the "service engine soon" light came on and has stayed on since. When the issue started, I stopped to get gas and after a short moment I saw very faint smoke or steam coming from my front grill. Opened hood but could not locate where it was coming from because the smoke cleared up. Sort of like a burnt rubber smell to the smoke. Vehicle seems to run okay. Any thoughts as to what might be happening? Thanks, Gary

Vibration could be missfire on startup possibly, I would get the codes pulled and see what they are. Smoke/rubber smell could be a pully seized/seizing I would get it checked out SOON. If the belt melts off you don't want to be stuck on the side of the road. Could also be related to your rough staring condition.
