I was told it was a bad oxygen sensor in bank 1, sensor 1. I bought a bosch exact match part and had it installed. The batter was disconnected and reconnected, within a mile the light came right back on, but this time with a weird hesitation when i accelerated. I gave it a few days, still running choppy. I bought another part, exact match NTK(?) sensor and had it put on. Same thing happened. I got fed up with it and put the old one back on to stop the hesitation. Inspection is coming up soon, any ideas as to what it may be?? Who told you that,...... the mailman? The code means there is no activity on that sensor. That doesn't mean the sensor itself is at fault. The problem needs to be troubleshooted by a knowledgeable tech.
