Dodge Stratus Mirror Issue Sign In

Car: Dodge Stratus 97 ES

Issue: Driver side power mirror was ripped out of socket/housing, upon inspection it would appear
that only the "swivel screws" as I refer to them are broken. The dealer insists I would have to buy
a whole FULL NEW mirror replacement >.>

All they are - are 2 plastic screws that hold a plastic ball latcher in such a way as to allow the
mirror to be turned by the power device, that's ALL.

So it would look something like this ----[ o--- granted text doesn't do much justice
thats as close to the description i can give other than saying imagine a screw head that allows
a ball tip to be pushed into it.

The screw head is circular not square if that helps any. More comparable to drywall screw
mounting screw inserts perhaps.

Where can I get this part from? I really don't want to buy a whole new mirror from anywhere
if possible -.-

Its a ball and socket assembly and the pob with repairing it is nobody sells the replacement parts . Your only alternative is to buy a used one .

You are welcome to join in on discussions or ask for any help you may need. We have a small group of highly experience techs here that donate their time to help people. Just don't come attempting to sell or promote anything as that will be dealt with swiftly.
Posting any type of link other than an image-only link is not allowed either
