Clicking sound only when turning in reverse Sign In

2013 Hyundai Sonata, makes no unusual noises in drive, whether going straight or turning. When reversing, makes a clicking sound often associated with CV axle issue when wheel is turned left or right. If backing up straight, no noise...only when turning.

I'd say it's a CV axle, but wouldn't the noise be present when turning and going forward? It only happens when turning and backing up.

? Same as DS check CV axles - 1/2 shafts. Interesting only heard in reverse? By any chance do you need to travel a distance in reverse for your situation or turn wheel hard to the stops which you should avoid in anything?
I just ask because I don't check them in reverse because they do it if failed in forward pretty clearly is enough and since it doesn't seem to what is the difference in how it's being driven?
