Put everything back together and the car will start but not idle and will immediately shut down if I don't keep throttle pressed. Not sure were to begin with troubleshooting, any help appreciated. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved. tilopa User Oct 25, 2013, 5:17 PM Post #3 of 4 (1473 views) Re: Car won't idle after engine swap Sign In So, can you tell me if this is the idle air control, because I plugged it in and problem is solved: coming out of the airbox (right next to a plug that I believe controls the mass airflow sensor) there is a cone shaped plug, with the pointy end going into the airbox. I had neglected to plug this in. Is this the idle air control? Thanks.
