Can't get the rear rotors off a 07 Chevy Equinox 2WD	Sign In

I'm having trouble removing the rear rotors on a 07 Chevy Equinox w/2WD. I have everything unbolted that holds it, yet I still can't remove it.
I think the e-brake might be the problem.?
I've been beating it with a hammer for some time also.
Any suggestion?

Actually, still on. I put it back together, but still need to replace it.

Sry Bob I was a little late.

A few thing you can try. You don't see the park brk shoes as problem as much as rear shoes grooved into a drum holding it on, simply because there just isn't that much material on them and they aren't used as part of the normal brking operation....

With the caliper & bracket off, if you can't move the rotor off the hub at all, the more than likely its stuck on the hub. Try spraying some PB penetrating oil around the hub rotor contact area, let it sit for a few and then get a big hammer (no claws or regular ball peens but a good sized one) and give some good blows to the flat area on the rotor that contacts the hub, rotate the hub & give some good baseball swings in different areas. The more rust..... The more stubborn they can be.........
