Braking Sign In

My 2008 Ford F-150 w/4.8 engine, and 31,000 miles shutters or vibrates when braking. This is most noticeable in the steering wheel. Please advise.

If this is a braking problem (my guess) should I use a dealer or brake specialist?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Braking Sign In

Brake rotors are distorted. I would recommend replacement, not resurface or the problem will come right back.

Re: Braking Sign In

Ditto - Brake rotors + low miles may even probably made flaws from lack of use or prolonged exposure to even plain moisture of condensation. Toss em,
