Brakes 2000 Durango

Added brake fluid about a month ago, resevoir was low but not empty. Have lost no fluid since then. Now brakes are going to the floor and barely stopping vehicle, they do pump up and are kinda stiff at times. The peddle does not vibrate at all.
Do I need to bleed brakes, or could this be a master cylinder or a sensor?
Both abs and brake warning have come on. Pulled the fuse for the abs and that still on but brakes is lit.
Last weekend my son was home from college and he went to bleed and was getting no fluid out of rears.

You should never bleed a brake system that hasn't been worked on. If the system has lost it's pedal, then there is a problem somewhere. If you have a brake light coming on and a loss of pedal without losing fluid, that is usually an indication of a bad master cylinder although there could be issues in the ABS modulator too.

Well we took the brake lines off the MC and stepped on the brakes both ports are shooting fluid, there is a Brake Proportioning Valve I believe that's what it's called and when you step the brakes the rear nipple doesn't go in and out. Does the module control this? The Brake Proportioning Valve is back ordered a month according to our local dealer.

Your just making matters worse doing stuff like that. That doesn't tell you anything.

so basically the best thing I can do is tke oit to a shop with a diagnostic machine and see what's wrong.

There is no machine that is going to diagnose that problem. It's just going to take examining and diagnosis by a knowledgeable technician that will recognize the problem. It could be anything from a master cylinder to an ABS unit.
