Brake Piston on '98 Grand Voyager

I am replacing pads and rotors on my '98 Plymouth Grand Voyager (3.3L, FWD, 180k miles). The driver-side brake piston would not compress, and I noticed that it seems to be at an angle (see attached pic). Is it shot, or can I repair it? Any ideas would be welcome.

Chris; That is pretty common on calipers with the phenolic pistons. These calipers can be rebuilt, but you really need to know how since this is such an important part of your brake system. Now days, you can buy rebuilt calipers, with or without pads nearly as cheap as one can overhaul them. If you decide to do it yourself, you can buy the rebuild kit at NAPA or CarQuest. If it uses the phenolic piston, replace it too. And, do BOTH left and right side at the same time.
