All of the sudden....

Two days ago my car started making a hissing/air noise when accelerating (sound as if you were to spray a constant stream of air through a fan). Today, the hissing noise has turned into the loudest VROOOOOOOOOOOM when accelerating you could ever imagine. Everytime I accelerate it accelerates fine but goes VROOOOOOOOM. I was nervous it wasn't going to make it home :(. What could possibly be wrong? Is a 2002 Chevrolet Tracker, 100,000 miles.

Get under the car and find the noise. You probably have an exhaust leak.
