I have a 99 dodge intrepid 3.2l with 86k miles that has been sitting for a month or so. I start and drive it on occasion, but recently i went outside to start it and could not get it going seemed like it wasnt getting fuel although i could hear the pump. when i opened the door to get out i could smell gas really strong. i looked under the car and saw fuel dripping everywhere. i had my wife turn the key to kick on the pump while i was looking and it sounded and looked like it was just shooting out from somewhere when the pump kicked on. there is no reason for a broken fuel line (which it seems like it is) because it has been unmoved since the last time it was driven. last time it was driven it was for maybe 30 mins to the store and back. any other explination for this other than a busted line? if it is a busted line what could be the cause ie;pressure or cold weather? Last question, if it is a busted line does anyone have an idea of the expense? thank you to all who reply in advance and i am sorry to include so many questions in one posting.

You plain need to find the leak. Broken line, rusted line or bad seal somewhere. It's a must to find as if it's dripping on a hot part you have a serious fire hazard. How much is impossible to guess till you locate exactly where why and what,
