99 accord melting and smoking under hood

99 accord. drove 1mile down road and began smelling strong chemical like odor while stopped at light. then drove another mile to home and opened hood and saw lots of smoke and what looked to be a fire starting in the center of the larger wheel that pulls the belt. I also see melted black plastic splattered under the hood. now when i try to start it, its very rough, squealy, and jumpy. WHAT HAPPENED?? please help

without being there, it sounds like one of your pulleys, locked up and destroyed your serpentine belt. this is something that needs to be towed to a shop and diagnosed asap.
