'99 Mercury Grand Marquis Won't Start (Or Even Jumpstart)!

Hi guys,
I've had a '99 Mercury Grand Marquis for about 6 months now. It drove beautifully without incident until last week I had to jump-start it. I thought it might have been a fluke as it drove/started just fine for the next couple days.
It died again a couple days ago. I couldn't even jump-start it. So I bought a new a battery, and it started. The next day...it was dead again. Wouldn't jumpstart. So I changed out the alternator.
I drove it the last few days without any issues. Then I tried to start it again today, and DEAD!
No click. No crank. The electronics came on for a few seconds and promptly died. Lights won't turn on. And my buddy couldn't get it to jumpstart!
So just to rehash...
-Brand new battery AND alternator
-No crank, no start, no clicking nothing...
-No electronics, lights,etc when I turn the key
It seems like the battery is not getting charged for some reason. Is this some sort of "parasitic drain"? Blown main battery fuse?
I doubt very much it's the alternator as my job is a 1 hour commute, and the engine has never shut off whilst driving. It's only when I park it, and try to start it a few hours later...the battery is dead.

There is a procedure for finding a battery draw like that.
You will need a digital ammeter and a jumper wire with clips on the ends to do this.
First rig any door switches so you can have a door open without triggering the interior lights and unplug the hood light. Remove one battery cable and attach the meter in series between the battery cable and battery post. Take the jumper wire and also attach it the same way. Leave the jumper wire on for at least 30 to 40 minutes to expire all the automatic timers. Now remove the jumper wire and read the meter. Anything over 50ma is too much draw. The way you locate this is to start removing fuses one at a time until the meter drops to normal level. This will be the circuit with something staying on. Determine what components are part of that circuit and check them individually until the problem is isolated.

I'm not mechanically gifted enough to trouble shoot all of that. Do you know how much it would cost to get that done?
Also, if I just disconnected the battery when I'm not driving it...would that be a good temporary fix?

That would work only if we are on the right track about it having a parasitic draw, although disconnecting the battery makes the computer delete all it's learned memory, including mixture and idle strategy so you could experience some stalling when the battery is hooked back up.
