99 Lincoln Navigator gas leak

Hi, I have a 99 Lincoln Navigator 4WD, 5.4 V8 w/135k mi. Problem started with spit spark plug then after repairing a rough,loud idle w/hissing w/smell of gas fumes. Advised to replace evap purge solenoid which I did. Cranked up, sounded better but realized gas pouring onto ground (thought it was coming from oil pan but realized it was pouring down over oil pan. This makes no sense. Any advice greatly appreciated!

You don't need advice here. You just need a thorough inspection. You need to determine the source of this leak before this thing turns into a bomb.
Have it towed to a competent shop because you cannot drive it that way.
