Search Auto Parts Search '98 durango 5.2 runs like crap for a brief moment everytime Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Car Troubleshooting ryangtp89 New User Jan 14, 2010, 9:32 PM Post #1 of 3 (1241 views) '98 durango 5.2 runs like crap for a brief moment everytime Sign In i have a '98 durango 4x4 5.2 v8 and heres my problem i have a p0135 code, i just installed a glasspack on my '98 durango 5.2, the code came on a few days after i did the install, Now the problem that i want to get rid of has been happening before i even installed the glass pack, heres what happens everytime i start it up and go down the road a few miles then for a brief moment i loose power then she goes back to normal. Even when i start it up and let it idle, i dont touch the gas at all or put it in any gears after s few minutes like 1-2 minutes the idle gets crappy just for s brief moment like 5-10 seconds then goes away and idles fine. soo no matter if i drive it or even let it idle it runs like crap after a few minutes every time i start it up for a few seconds brager User Jan 15, 2010, 7:51 AM Post #2 of 3 (1228 views) Re: '98 durango 5.2 runs like crap for a brief moment everytime Sign In PO135 02 sensor heater failure oxygen sensor heater malf you could have a faulty 02 sensor on your truck its the one before the converter if you got a ton of miles on it it would"nt hurt to change it out thats a maintanance item anyway if you ask me nickwarner Veteran / Moderator Jan 17, 2010, 8:59 PM Post #3 of 3 (1214 views) Re: '98 durango 5.2 runs like crap for a brief moment everytime Sign In I second that. You want a 12 year old vehicle to run crappy, have a bad O2 sensor.
