Car spews coolant from overflow tank when idling. Does not seem to lose much coolant when going highway speed. The electric fan does not turn on when car is idling and engine is warmed up. Jumped the motor for the fan and it was good. Coolant is boiling over but engine temperature needle doesn't indicate that the car is overheating. The needle stays at the halfway mark in the temperature gauge. Had the coolant overflow bottle replaced about a month
ago by a mechanic who claimed it was cracked and that was causing my overheating problem. Seemed to have worked, but I've noticed that since then my car would lose heat when parked or at lights. There's no coolant in the oil or vice versa and no white smoke coming from the exhaust. It seems as though the coolant isn't circulating through the radiator at all when it starts to boil over. Radiator feels cold to touch. Can't seem to find a fill cap to check the level in my radiator, assuming it doesn't have one? Could it be a sticky thermostat? Clogged hose? Bad sensor? The car was doing just fine on the highway...replaced the water pump a little over a year ago. I need a boyfriend so I can stop trying to figure this crap out.

That's probably a blown head gasket pump combustion gases into the cooling system.
