96 cirrus, stalls at every corner, revs first

96 cirrus, stalls at every corner, revs first

1996 chrysler cirrus, car starts fine, engine idles fine, drives fine, but "every" time I come to a stop at a corner or anywhere, it revs really high for a half second then stalls..please help???

You may have a bad IAC ( idle air control) but try eliminating any vacuum leaks and cleaning the throttle body first. Remove the intake snorkel, have someone hold the throttle wide open for you and scrub the back side of the throttle plate and surrounding bore with an old tooth brush and some carb cleaner. Be sure to spray some into the small holes next to the throttle plate. That should help stabilize the idle. If it still has a problem, replace the IAC.

Which engine? Any trouble codes stored in the engine controller?
Before you stop, throw it into neutral and see if the engine stalls out.

not sure what engin or codes, I will check tomorrow, I have been putting it in netral and keeping my foot on thegas before stopping, but now it wont restart after like 10 corners

I was checking vac hoses, pulled one off the egr transponder and it had sucktion but when I put it back the engin stalled....so, I took it off again, started the car and went for a ride, no more stalling, so, I replaced the EGR valve & transponder.......she runs great......thank you God...
