'96 Mercury Sable odd engine noise

We just started having this odd noise from the engine.
The noise does not start until after a few minutes of the engine running. It will make the noise quietly for just a few seconds then stop. It continues this cycle, progressively getting louder and longer, until it is constant.
I recorded a short video from my phone, I know that could be just about anything!

I do not see the belt catching on anything nor does it look worn. It sounds like it is coming from the top left quarter of the engine, right next to/underneath the center.
The exhaust does not sound any different and the sound is only audible from the front of the vehicle. On the short drive home from work I do not hear it at all until I'm about 2+ miles down the road. By the time I get home, around 6 miles, it is continual.
