95 Geo Prism exhaust system

Header pipe,flex pipe that connects engine to muffler, has a crack at the flex weld.Would like to cut gasket between muffler and header pipe and replace header pipe.But I need to know if bolts that connect the two are attached to the muffler or the header pipe.Thanks

Take a good look at the fastening nuts and bolts if you really need to replace the pipe. This is a spot where if you have a good welder or even the chain muffler places may be able to weld up the crack and they are good at knowing what metal will work to weld. If it's not too messed up that may be the cheaper and easy way to fix something like that. Broken nuts and bolts can be a nightmare to extract and their skills can be impressive, T
