After a mere 348k miles I have noticed that my odometer is intermittent. It seems to run about half the time which leads me to believe a gear is stripped on one side. Just my guess. How difficult is this to fix? Replace the entire Odometer/Speedometer unit? Isn't there some consequences regarding the validity of the mileage on the car? Ideas are welcome! It is quite common.
