94 1/2 ton gmc fuel lines

I'm looking for quality fuel line from the pump/tank to the filter . I replaced them in 2014 and one is rusted and leaking , I got it from a national store and it lasted 8 years . I don't think that's good enough . Is there a supplier that has fuel lines that'll last longer than that ? I went on line to LMC and AC Delco and didn't see those parts listed . thanks.

There is a generic plastic coated line "pre-made" stuff with pre=flared ends. Ask for adaptor if needed at fuel filter. If you can do it with that assortment and unions not make flares unless you want to can.
I spray white lithium grease all over brake, trans and fuel lines helps a lot against rust out - again this really early IMO those stunk. Napa will have line I hope not this again types.
Did you make your lines or as I described I think you need to cut for fuel filters to save that flare nut? I've avoided it with the grease my own and anyone's car/truck with lousy line or just because as I don't need to do that crap shouldn't ever IMO but vehicle makers didn't ask me!

It's not the lines causing your problems. It's the road salt that packs all over them. The only way to make them last longer is to wash the undercarriage after driving on treated roads. I know that's inconvenient but that comes with the territory living in upstate NY.

Agree and live it. OE line isn't always placed out of harm's way these trucks have been some of the worst. Those loops the busted (probably) that hold them from vibrating must be checked or improved hold that corrosive salts for much longer than exposure time.
Salts are attracting moisture keep corroding when dry activated by the moisture. New OE can be improved can't be better than line used. No trauma routing 90% of what you already did if good is still good. Small section of the trouble spot can be cut and new metal (must be) and re-flare that line with better.
I swear by grease repeat when under it or look if gone. Best would be a spray Silicone grease I've never see do smear on flare nuts or area under the l loop type holders then again over that.
That replacement line failed because it was both cheap line and not washed off an assertive drive in plain rain helps after you know you've driven in it.
It's hard car wash places re-use water till final rinse scare me adding salted water both by law to use less water and not have so much horrid waste water or too much it.
This truck you can keep forever if determined to every part you might need known to corrode except a few (you make) or have metal fab welding done if available.
Engine, trans and on is all replaceable or fixable because this is popular and less of a luxo truck that junk will ruin it cost wise to keep up with.
Sorry it didn't work out some situations are impossible to stop this being constantly an issue - worse a dangerous surprise when it leaks out of any of the lines that are needed.
The cost of whole new truck so costly now bite it and keep fixing and give up for another totally hard to do right now this old.
Stainless steel line is out there still check how pure it is. A magnet will not stick to good stainless steel is a great clue bring one with you for critical items - this is critical.
YOU have to be assertive to keep this to a minimum for surprises and pro-actively check it + fix ahead of this when at all possible.
If not old stuff isn't easy nor practical for everyone. It all take some bucks now and then just to do that much,

I went to a garage to get it done but not till wed. of next week all garages are booked up ., I can't physically do it at my age and condition . He said I was lucky to get 8 years out of it and that's the way it is . I'm not going to tell him his business , I won't be there to take the extra steps and care an owner would do and that's the way it is . While I was looking at the problem I noticed the flex hose on the return line takes a tight corner and wondered if a restricted line would cause a higher fuel pressure condition and make it run rich ? Thanks .

OK - so be it on fuel line. The hose? IDK would need to see it and check it. If you can see a kink that's no good. If it resulted in higher pressure (too high) I'm not sure it would be rich but wouldn't run right now so if fine just keep an eye on it,

In theory, yes it could raise the pressure. I don't know if this is TBI which is very low pressure or a Vortec which is very high pressure but either way, these pumps don't usually have all that much extra pressure to spare.
