93 toyota 4 runner won't atart

we recently bought this 93 4 runner. started up fine when we went to go look at. ran it for little while. gas pedal was little hard to push. we bought it, took it home then we were gonna go to store later that evening and it did not start. lights, radio work. i turn the key and all it does is click one time, that's it! any idea?

Dealer or private sale?
You should start by having the battery tested and making sure that the battery connections are clean and tight.
