Hola - car retardo here -- My '92 Ford Escort has given me problems ever since she became my baby. She's rockin' a 1.8L and has 140k miles. In the past months, I've had to leave the key in the ON position of the starter for a few minutes until everything completely powered on (I would know when I could start the car because the automatic seat belts would kick back). Lately, it's taken about 10 minutes for those seat belts to kick back, and now... Well, going on an hour with the key in the ON position and she still won't start. Any ideas? I thought about just hotwiring the car, but I'm not totally sure I want to do that. Edit: When I try to start the car, she cranks just fine but doesn't start up.

It sounds like you have a poor power connection in a power supply line somewhere. Check all your cables and connections from power sources, including the ignition switch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
