'91 chevy blazer

Our '91 chevy blazer stopped running last sunday (actually, the engine turned but there was no spark) so we had a mechanic look at it, who promptly put a new fuel pump in it and sent us off with a running vehicle (this was on Tuesday). The blazer was driven next on Thursday, and hasn't been driven since until we tried to start it up this morning (the sunday after it went down the first time) and it did the exact same thing as last week. Could anyone have an idea of what needs fixed? We're trying to replace spark plugs and spark plug wires, the distributor cap and the rotar cap, but still nothing. Bad tank of gas?
