i'm trying to find a brake proportioning valve for my 90 civic, does anybody know if i could use a proportioning valve from another model or a different year civic or a different make. i think mine is in the 88-91 generation so i'm pretty sure all i need is one from between those years.

Not really sure on that. There may be some differences. Proportioning valves, combination valves, and metering valves are usually hard to acquire on older vehicles. They don't really have a high failure rate. Did you contact your local salvage yard? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
