'88 Accord dx rough idle

like the title says, i have a rough idle but only at selective times. The car is a 1988 Honda Accord DX 4-cyl carb engine
while driving it is mostly okay, when rpms are around 2000 it starts to vibrate a bit. It's a small car so it is noticeable to both driver and passenger. Before and after 2000 rpms it runs perfect as if nothing is wrong at all.
When coming to a stop at a stop sign or traffic light it idles rough in drive. Perfect in park.
No lights on the dash are on. Haven't had the car long but the guy i bought it from said it needs a tune-up, however, i'd much prefer to do everything it needs done by myself for the experience.
i've looked all over the internet and come down to vacuum leak, egr valce, and pcv valve. I am NOT highly educated in vehicles so if you can rule these out or add more options that'd be great. I don't have much money to invest in it but hopefully soon i will.
