Took it to a mechanic he said that the cam walked, gear ground on distributor. He replaced the gear and cam button. Drove it for about 100 miles and it just stopped running. There have been no enginee warning issues. It just stopped running. It turns over but doesn't start. Any idea what it could be? Our old mechanic started to pull the distributor off and then we took the car back from him because he didn't know what he was doing. We will put the distributor back on and try what you suggested. I will let you know what happened.
