I am having trouble with my 84 Pontiac Parisienne Brougham Sedan the gas pedal doesn't seem to be connected and it will not start, is there a possibility that my problems can be fixed simply?

Near certain this is a plain cable to a carb so wouldn't start as you can't set the choke. Look down by pedal and up at carb for if it fell off or what broke. Real fix will be a whole new cable with a slight chance you can safely patch a certain area depending on how it broke but not to count on that,
