have a 1999 blazer when trying to put it 4 hi motor on trasmission makes slight noise then quits wont engage 4wd sounds maybe like its binding up

Are all the tires the same size?? If all 4 tires do not match, 4WD will not engage properly. Also there is a small vacuum switch on the drivers side of the transmission that may be sticking
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
