I have a 2018 Pathfinder SL with about 100 000km on it. Unfortunately due to circumstances outside my control it sat unused outside in the Nova Scotia winter (think New England style!) I was not able to prep it for winter or maintain it any during the winter so it sat without starting for since last October until yesterday. I am not particularly mechanically inclined unfortunately but I do recognize leaks are not generally a good thing! After starting it and letting it warm up a bit, I took it around the block just to see how things were. I anticipate there may be further issues given how long it sat, but the leak is probably the jumping off point! Attached is a picture of where I believe the leak is. It seems like the bottom hose is wet and it appears to be spraying out a liquid. (The image is inverted, so the bottom line appears on top.) The liquid is somewhat oily and almost a honey colour. I don't believe it is motor oil, though it has a bit of that smell. Brakes don't seem to be giving me much of an issue, nor does the power steering. Wondering if these hoses stick out as being part one of those particular systems? It does seem to leak when idling as well as driving a somewhat significant amount. I am mostly looking to determine what it could be as I would like to limp it to the garage rather than floating it, but I would hate to spend a dollar to save a dime if you will! I can do my best to answer any other questions if they might help! Thank you, first time posting so forgive me I did read the rules hope I have followed them! http://autoforums.carjunky.com/...ic/665NPruV/1922.jpg

Saw that pic can't make it post here? 1st - check fluids now one is or will be low. That + use a cardboard or something catch the drips identify which one. Honey color is oil, maybe PS any and all matter a lot. Brake isn't apt to leak for long without loss or braking that fluid (not oil) if even will wash off from a finger - oils do not. Source of non coolant (check it anyway - pressure check it too w engine off) rule things out if tricky, is frequently forward and higher than what is a mess did see the pic. If active this should be quick and easy to locate then know what to fix. IDK - sitting for a Winter (I'm in harsher inland MA, US) than NS is still too long some seals but fewer this new by designs don't like that tear instantly if not used. Let all this go for now wipe areas clean as you can I bet you can watch it then try to know which item is carrying or sealing what fluid so lead to what to fix. They don't heal - pay attention or will harm lots more than some normal fix if let go and run dry - any of them. Safety note: Doubt it's brake fluid unless you see lines small gauge that in that pic for some reason be routed there? Really doubt that, Tom

I can't tell what that is from your picture but it should be pretty easy to tell the difference between oil and coolant. Either way you shouldn't be driving it if the leak is that bad. Get it towed to a reputable shop for inspection and testing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

CanuckFF: Are you fixing this or just want to know what? Save other tricks (real things that work) need to know or I would think you would even if sending out. Which is your intention so far? Tom

Ours, a 2017 Pathfinder, developed a leak in the liquid line's o-ring. Look in the passenger side, up front, by the radiator where two aluminum lines (discharge and liquid) are in a connector. You'll see oily residues.

Sorry. I did not see the picture. I can't pinpoint the area of the evident leak. Feel free to post a picture from the front of the car and pinpoint that area.
