2013 Kia Optima “Rubbing” noise

2013 Kia Optima 2.4L, 104K miles
Rubbing noise occurs in front (mostly driver’s side) and frequency of run increases with acceleration. Rub is most pronounced at 25-30 mph. Not related or increased in magnitude by braking or not braking. Most distinct/pronounced when making a right turn. Sound seems mostly localized to driver’s side front wheel area. Tried so far:
1. Replaced tire
2. Replaced wheel/rim
3. New front rotors and brakes
4. Lifted front and rotated each wheel manually. No distinct rubbing occurred. Just a smooth rub of the pads on the rotor with no accented or pronounced rubs at any point in the 360 degrees of turn.
5. Shook (pulled and pushed) both front tires/wheels to see if bearings were loose. All felt perfectly tight. No “play” or shimmy.
I am at a loss for what this is. Kia wants to replace both front bearings and hubs for $700. I don’t want to waste money.
Help please?

The backing plate is likely touching the rotor somewhere.

Smacks of just what HT said. You can pull many without more than hoisting the wheel, support car and pull on it. If a bearing (not ruled out) it wouldn't have play or feel by hand or wheel would have fallen off by now they have NONE of that. Doing both is overkill if just one is my opinion not the total practice of that.
You hoisted it or someone did before that plate gets bent usually from just that or placing a jack stand beware where you put either,

Lifted car with jack, no play in bearing as you thought it would be. Removed caliper and inspected rotor (brand new) caliper, backing plate as well as entire area for evidence of rubbing. None exists.
Also, tightened a lug nut on stud and rotated hub slow and fast with myself and son listening for any signs/locations of rubbing or grinding. None existed. The ONLY sound was that of the rubber axle boot squeaking lightly and occasionally.
No rubbing or grinding sound revealed itself at any certain point of the 360 degree rotation like it does in a pronounced way while driving.
Still at a loss... 🤷♂️😳

Trust me, just push the backing plate away slightly all around.
The rotor will lean slightly with the weight of the car and that is just enough to make contact.

Ok, will do. Push it away on the inner or outer edge? By hand or with a tool/lever?

It's just sheet metal. Use the palm of your hand and lightly push it away from the rotor all around, not much, just a little.

Late now. True, it probably will push back and again as HT said you aren't going to hear all without weight of car on it. Usually lower on like a dust shield will do that "rubbing" sound not a grind sound when turning is exactly what you said. The forces kinda torque on a rotor/hub just the slightest tilt touches then doesn't. You can run a finger w glove or see it's too close and evidence most of the time.
HAVE TO RULE THAT OUT SO IF IT'S NOT THAT KEEP ON HUNTING WHY IT DOESN'T BELONG THERE DOING A NOISE just that is common. Some from hoisting or wheel off the car lowered to ground maybe even debris from road or road defects just don't quit till you find it.
Other things? Brake hardware not right may need to take it off and look harder?? Tom

About your double post: Site is funky. May say 'error" when you post. Just can't help that now it's there works for me to use "backspace" and re-click section again see if it's there or not?
The car: Don't give up when you have the chance if elusive YOU'LL see how close a part is or evidence like a shined up part that shouldn't be even slight. It's common but still just may NOT be that and something serious. Smile, think of easy stuff first (this is) so can rule out the disaster type troubles! Tom
