Hello, I have a relatively new 2013 Honda Accord with about 700 miles on it (I purchased it in August 2013). I did not use the car all winter. It has been parked outside in the cold Ohio winter since September 2013 with absolutely no use for the past 8 months. I did absolutely no winterizing steps for the car either (i.e. disconnect the battery, etc.) It has warmed up now here in Ohio, and I want to use the car again. I know the battery is dead, so I will need to jump-start it. Is there anything else that I should do before restarting the car? I don't want to damage the car, because i need it to last for a long time. thanks. -haley

I wouldn't do any more than charge the battery and start it up. The car should be under warranty for everything so I wouldn't mess with it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
