I have a 2011 mitsubishi lancer es with arond 100000 miles l. We took it to a shop to have both front wheel bearing done. After the work we picked it up and all warning lights where on. Abs, abs service, hand brake, brake service, traction controle on and off, traction controle service and engine service soon light. When we first start driving the speedometer dosent work until the brake light comes on. So we told the mechanic and he said he unplugged the abs sensors from the engine to avoid ruining them. He replaced both abs sensors and nothing changed. The problem is still there he put it on the scanner and no code came up. We also took it to AutoZone to have it read and no codes came up. Wednesday we are paying to have a diagnostic done. Any ideas what this could be? We had no problems until the work was done on the car. We checked all the fuses no blown fuse. We and the mechanic are stumped can't figure what it could be and really want to get it fix before it starts snowing

OMG - what on earth went wrong? Presumably none of this was a problem before sending this car out? This shop and mechanic gave you this car back with all that lit up for warnings lights on and let you take the car?
It can only be IMO only but the shop own this problem now if all this new and stay out of it till it's fixed. Clearly something has gone all wrong the only hint so far is mechanic said he unplugged sensors for the work now need to give it back if and suggest you tow it with an "engine" warning on you just don't have a clue at the moment of what warnings mean this is self destructing or not.

Send it back. If YOU knew of this car being flooded or other severe trauma prior to any work you should have said so.

Just "other" question by me: You asked for BOTH wheel bearings to be replaced? Why?

I had both bearing replaced because they where worn down. The passenger tire had mote play to it then driver side but decide to get them both done while we where at it. Yes had no problem till then. Everything works fine except the speedometer until a warning light comes on. It drives normal. The shop is taking responsibility but said he could not figure out what it could be. So we are at a stand still in till we can figure out what the problem might be or get a diagnostic at another shop cause he don't have the equipment for it

? Bearings don't have "play" (please define your word "mote" or was a typo) on non adjustable bearing which almost everything is.......... unless breaking up wildly about to fall off with the most severe feel and vibrations other parts could even take!
They do get too hot, wet, flawed with microscopic pits advance to "galling" then the bust up or weld up tight if ignored. Hey - there are exceptions to about anything.

This if so failed like that unknown what that would do to speed sensors that weren't replaced? At this point guess the issue is over if the place/mechanic is taking it back let him figure it out. If you personally did the bearings and not the same mechanic do the right thing and say what you just told me + the world.

The all time thing with a web site is with the best descriptions, even pictures and videos WE are not there in person always wins for a final diagnosis and proper repair. Nothing now but wait and see what he says and would appreciate you posting what was found,
