2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport: Replacement battery too short Sign In

I purchased a new battery from Autozone and decided to install it myself. I found that the old battery is taller and the top hold down will not fit the new battery. On autozone's website, the duralast battery I bought says it requires a, "top height adapter." Well, I called autozone and they didnt carry anything like that. I cannot find anything on a google search. I dont have the receipt anymore for the battery. What do i do? This makes no sense to me.

Thanks

You take it back to them and go buy the correct battery elsewhere. You don't use adapters.

Looked it up and they didn't sell the adaptor separately or not listed. No receipt! Well, AZ if you gave them your name or a phone # could retrieve it or just talk to them for the one that fit's and price adjust it. Battery is marked with a date and with no receipt will go by that to adjust price but it's not defective just doesn't fit.

Don't buy stuff that isn't exact fit for something so new. AZ is good for warranty and handy being open later but this is the price you pay. IMO they shouldn't have sold it to begin with if given proper info and your fault for losing the receipt,

T
