In that cavity where your fingers go to close the door, there is a removable piece of plastic there. Use a little pick or a screwdriver to pop it out and there are 2 screws under it.

Remove trim panel from door.
2. Pry upward on handle cover exposing screws. 3. Remove screws (1). 4. Remove pull door handle from door panel.

Hi.Thank you for the diagram it kind of helps.should I just try to pop it off now that I have all of the screws off the part or should I remove the whole door panel?I was also wondering if maybe the instructions for replacing the switches might give me a better idea of how to take this piece of plastic off. Thanks so much,Ernie

I can't tell you much without being there. I haven't done one yet because it's too new. Any other instructions just refer back to the door panel instructions. They don't get into much detail because they were written for professional techs that usually don't need the details.

Ernie; I'd refer to Hammer's advice. I haven't seen that new of one, yet, either. I'm pretty sure that the whole door panel shouldn't have to be removed, but who knows? Unsure Seriously, though, if it broke, and it shouldn't have, I'd check to see if your warranty will cover it.

The posted instructions clearly state the door panel DOES have to be removed.

Says trim panel. I assume that means the trim piece that the handle is attached to?

Ernie; You've got a great attitude and demeanor. I can't believe, for a minute, they'd give you a 'hard time'. Customers like you, I'll bend over backwards to help. Jerks, I won't give the time of day. Smile
