Sign In I just attempted a battery repair on my Prius. It turns on, but it won't shift into Reverse or Drive. It can shift between Neutral and Park. All of the lights on the dash are on. I have a code reader. It returns no codes at all. Any thoughts? Thanks! Sign In Thanks. The original problem was with the high voltage battery. I did disconnect both batteries to do this, however. If you have a generic type OBD2 scanner, you will probably need an enhanced scanner that can get on the manufacture's side of the system to see if there are any manufacture codes being stored.
