Well guys I got this truck and it has been a good one so far.. Has 61,226 miles on it.. Just had 4 new tires put on it due to a vibration tires where out of round and the carmax dealership was very thoughtful for doing that for me... Okay my question is when I brake around 55 mph hr to slow down I get a vibration the slower I get the worst it gets.. I dont think its the front breaks or the drums on the back. I did the emergency brake and it didnt vibrate doing this.. Any Ideas? I have a 30 day warranty so if I can figure this out that way they dont tell me something else you know how that goes... I also bought an exteneded warranty to go with it which covers me to 100,000 yippie lol...

Also the engine hrs are 1740 anyone care to explain if thats good or bad? Just curious.. Again thanks for putting up with me here..

If you only get it when applying the brakes, then it really can't be anything but brakes. You would have to use a dial indicator to measure the runout of each one to find out.

Thanks Hammer I can always count on you.. I laugh at the Carmax 5000 point check I dont believe any of that maybe they do an oil change... I will call them see what they say..

Hammer also would you recommend any shocks that would make this truck a better ride? Its the short bed and its a 2 door I feel every dang bump hump I run over lol..I read chevy is bad for this??????

I doubt you can improve anything with shocks. I think most of them are Billsteins from the factory. The biggest problem is no weight in the back. If you put 5 or 6 hundred pounds in the back, it would probably ride much better.

I am going to put my tool box on it but I want to get all the bugs out first.. I still have 3 days left on the 5 day guarantee that I can give it back with a 100 percent refund so they say lol...That being said my tool box will be at the back window. Not really sure what else to weigh it down with. I would gues my tool box weighs 150 or so and thats full.. Ideas are welcomed..Dont want to cluter it up you know.. BTW I ordered that plug for the trailer..

Just experiment with it a little bit. Throw a couple of cement bags in the back to see if it helps any. Keeping it full of fuel should help. Remember this theory is probably sacrificing mileage too.

Don't believe it. I have a 4.3 Blazer and I get 12MPG in town and 17 on the highway. There are plenty of V8s that do a lot better.
The 4.3 is just a 350 with 2 cylinders shaved off.

So far so good for me I have been back and fourth to Raliegh here thats an hr away I have been there and back 2 times and drove around town here just hitting the half a tank mark.. Better than that 93 for sure on gas so If I compare the 2 I am ahead at the moment..
